  • Born: 25 Dec 1797 in Fair Haven, Rutland Co., Vermont.2,4
  • Married First: Mary W. Machen 3 Dec 1822 in Caldwell Co., Kentucky.3,5,6
  • Married Second: Louisa B. Long 30 Jan 1853 in Crittenden Co., Kentucky.7,8
  • Died: 19 Nov 1867 in Crittenden Furnaces, Crittenden Co., Kentucky.9,10,11
  • Note: It seems unlikely that John C. Cobb was the son of Caleb Clark Cobb, even though he appears in Caleb's household in the 1850 census. In any case, he cannot be by Mary, as she died in 1835, and the 1850 census indicates he was born after that. And John C. doesn't seem to be in the 1840 census, nor is there a second wife and mother of the young boy.
Caleb also appears in our Narrative Site where there is much more information about him.
