Caleb Allen was born about 1748.3 He died in 1804.4
He donated the land for the second cemetery in Pawlet, on the north side. Its first interments were revolutionary soldiers.5
He was a land jobber, who located non-resident land owners and bought their claims, often at a nominal price, then sold the parcels to settlers.6
Caleb served as a member of the Vermont constitutional convention in 1793.7
