Ione Cobb died on 6 Sep 1841.1 She was buried in Riverview Cemetery, Eddyville, Caldwell Co., Kentucky, in the Cobb family plot, with her mother, Julia Ann Mims.3
She might have been one of the two females under age 5 listed in the household of her father, Dr. Joshua Cobb, in the 1840 Federal Census of Stewart Co., Tennessee.4

Research Note, 15 Sep 2011:

Ione may have been a twin of her sister Irene. The only record found that clearly identifies Ione is the tombstone where she and her mother are buried, and that records only her date of death and the statement "youngest daughter of Dr. J & J A Cobb," suggesting she died an infant or was stillborn. But the 1840 census shows two females under age five in the household. One would have been Irene, but the other might have been Ione. The "matching" names is also suggestive of twins.
