     Elizabeth Jane Buster was born on 9 Mar 1834 in Charlotte Co., Virginia.5,6,7
     She was probably the female age 5 to 10 listed in the household of her father, John J. Buster, in the 1840 Federal Census of Charlotte Co., Virginia.12 She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Charlotte Co., Virginia, in the household of her parents.13
     Elizabeth married Andrew Jackson Britton, son of Isham H. Britton and Mary W. Toot, and younger brother of the man her older sister Frances would marry eight years later, on 23 Dec 1858 in Halifax Co., Virginia.8,9
     Elizabeth and Andrew appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Halifax Co., Virginia, in the household Mary W. Toot, his mother.14,15
     Her husband died in 1861.16
     She was a school teacher after her husband died.17 She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Buffalo Twp., Prince Edward Co., Virginia, enumerated 24 Aug 1870, in the household of Nannie and Agnes Thomas, who were also school teachers. Her daughter Virginia was listed as living with her.18
     Elizabeth appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Brookville, Campbell Co., Virginia, enumerated 12 Jun 1880, in the household of Joe Garrison and his family, listed as a domestic servant.19
     Elizabeth appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Brookville, Campbell Co., Virginia, enumerated 23 Jun 1900, at the Lynchburg Female Orphan Asylum, where she is listed as the matron, or person in charge of the facility.20
     Elizabeth died on 2 Apr 1902 at age 68.10 She was buried in Presbyterian Cemetery, Lynchburg, Lynchburg City Co., Virginia.11
