     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Louisville, Jefferson Co., Kentucky, in the household of his parents, Herschell Porter Smith and Corinne Acklin Tuck.4 He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Louisville, Jefferson Co., Kentucky, in the household of his parents.5
     Landon registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jun 1917, while living at 1247 S. Brook, Louisville, Kentucky, reporting he was self-employed, running a lunch counter at the Ford Motor works.1
     He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Louisville, Jefferson Co., Kentucky, in the household of his parents.16
     Landon married Eva Edna May Farrell, daughter of John H. Farrell and Josephine Brown, about 1925.11,12,13
     Landon and Eva appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Jefferson Co., Kentucky, enumerated 8 Apr 1930, reporting they owned a home valued at $15,000, and owned a radio. His parents were listed as living with them, as was his sister-in-law, Elsie Stacey, age 32 and divorced.17
