Narrative:

     Edith Virginia Fenelon was born on 8 Feb 1899 in Illinois.10,11,12 Edith seems to have switched between using her first name and middle name at various times, or perhaps with different members of her family. In fact, it is not clear from available evidence whether Edith or Virginia was actually her first name.20,21,3
     She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents, James E. Fenelon and Bridget A. Brady.7 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents.8
     She appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents, at 1105 Knoxville Ave.9 She also appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois, at 1532 North Claremont Ave., enumerated the same day, as one of 42 "pupil nurses" living in a nurse's home, apparently associated with a hospital.22
     She appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents.23
     Edith studied nursing, and in 1920 was in training at a hospital in in Chicago.24 She was a private duty nurse by in 1930, back in Peoria.25
     Edith married Joseph Frank Prenger, son of Frederick Prenger and Mary Lucas.13,14,15
     Edith appeared with her husband Joseph on the 1940 Federal Census of Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, at 1105 Knoxville Ave., in the household of Bridget A. Brady, her mother, reporting they had also lived in the same house in 1935.6
     Her husband died on 22 Sep 1943 in Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois.26,27
     She was a visitor in the state public aid program, reporting in the 1950 census she had worked 40 hours the prior week.28
     Edith appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, at 500 Underhill, enumerated 6 Apr 1950, reporting she lived in a home that was not on a farm.29
     Edith died on 25 Jan 1967 in Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, at age 67.16,17,18 She was buried in Saint Marys Cemetery, West Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois.19
