     LeRoy M. Carpp was born on 10 Aug 1897 in Yampa, Routt Co., Colorado.8,9,10
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Rock Creek, Routt Co., Colorado, in the household of his parents, Albert J. Carpp and Mary Helen Rockhill.6
     He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Oak Creek, Routt Co., Colorado, in the household of his mother.5
     LeRoy registered for the draft for World War I on 24 Aug 1918, while living at 68 Mt. Vernon Ave, Grand Rapids, Michigan, reporting he was employed as a switchman by G. R. I. Railway.4
     LeRoy moved to Flint by 1921, when he was boarding at 1109 Burr Ct.21
     LeRoy married first Violet B. Vasbinder, daughter of Russell Vasbinder and Frances D'Arcy, on 12 Aug 1922 in Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan, with Rev. Lincoln Ostrander officiating.11
     His wife died on 14 Jun 1924 in Genesee Co., Michigan.22
     LeRoy married second Fern C. Glabe, daughter of Harvey Sebastian Glabe and Nettie Lou Bess, on 3 Aug 1927 in Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan, with Rev. C. T. Hill offciating.12,13,14
     LeRoy and Fern appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan, at 1025 Simcoe Ave., enumerated 8 Apr 1930, reporting that they owned a home valued at $6,000, and owned a radio. It appears they were renting a portion of the home to Fred Noble and his wife, for $40 per month.2
     LeRoy and Fern adopted Harold Douglas Carpp between 1930 and 1935.23,24
     LeRoy sued Fern for divorce in Genesee Co., Michigan, on grounds of extreme cruelty. The divorce was granted 28 Jan 1935, with alimony of $1, a property settlement, and he was given custody of their adopted son.15
     LeRoy married third Lurindia Vernico Fraleigh, daughter of Norman Fraleigh and Minnie Seymore, on 1 Mar 1935 in Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan, with Rev. G. F. Tripp offciating. She was the widow of Emmit Elwell.16,17,18
     LeRoy and Vernice appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Flint Twp., Genesee Co., Michigan, at 3044 Bristol St., enumerated 17 Apr 1940, reporting they owned a home valued at $4,000. Her daughter Onita by her previous marriage and his adopted son Harold were listed as living with them.25
     He was a hammerman operating a drop forge, by 1922. In 1940 he was working as a hammerman at a Buick factory, reporting he had worked 40 hour the last week of March, and had worked 36 weeks in 1939, earning $2,800.26,27,25
     LeRoy registered for the draft for World War II on 16 Feb 1942, while living at 2362 W. Bristol Rd., Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan, reporting he was employed by Buick in Flint.28
     He was a crane operator at an automotive plant by 1950, reporting in the 1950 census he had worked 48 hours the prior week. He also reported working 32 weeks in 1949, earning $2,600 in wages or salary, and $624 in interest, dividends, etc.29
     LeRoy and Vernice appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm and they lived in the same house the year before.30
     LeRoy died on 11 Nov 1974 in Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan, at age 77.19,20
