     Jane Eliza Hester was born on 16 Dec 1843 in Lafayette, Kentucky.7,8,9
     She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Lafayette, Christian Co., Kentucky, in the household of her parents, William O. Hester and Henrietta Rogers.17,18 She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Christian Co., Kentucky, in the household of her parents.19,20
     Jane married Richard Watson Tuck, son of Dr. Davis Green Tuck and Elizabeth M. Toot, on 3 Oct 1864 in Christian Co., Kentucky.10,11,12
     She generally used her middle name, Eliza, by the time of her marriage, and continued the rest of her life.3,21,22,23
     Eliza and Richard appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Hopkinsville, Christian Co., Kentucky, enumerated 18 Jun 1870, reporting real estate valued at $1,000 and personal estate of $500. Their daughter Lulie was listed as living with them, as were two Black domestic servants, Ella Boyd, age 17, and Harrison Lawton, age 12.24
     Eliza bought half of town lot no. 3 and lot no. 4 in Lafayette, Christian Co., Kentucky, from her father, William O. Hester, on 22 Oct 1874, for $750.25
     Eliza and Richard, and their children Lulie and Walter, appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Lafayette, Christian Co., Kentucky, in the household of her father, William O. Hester.26
     Eliza and Richard moved to Memphis, Tennessee, by 1891, as we find him listed in the city directory that year, residing on Poplar Blvd. They apparently lived in a number of places in the few years they lived there, including on Cox Ave., at 151 Third, and back on Poplar.27,28,29
     Eliza and Richard moved to Nashville, Tennessee, by 1894, when they lived at 625 Fern Ave.30 They lived on Stainback Ave. near Vaughn by 1896 and then at 502 Meridian.31
     She died on 22 Oct 1897 in Nashville, Tennessee, at age 53.13,14 She was buried on 19 May 1898 in Elmwood Cemetery, Memphis, Shelby Co., Tennessee, in the lot owned by her husband's sister, Sarah, and her husband. Why the burial there was over six months after her death is unknown.15,16
