Narrative:

     Lloyd Webster Grimm was born on 9 Aug 1904 in Berkeley, Norfolk Co., Virginia.6,7,8
     He appeared with his mother, Nannie Kennedy Webster, on the 1910 Federal Census of Charles Town, Jefferson Co., West Virginia, in the household of her father, Thomas D. Webster.16 He appeared with his mother on the 1920 Federal Census of Charles Town, Jefferson Co., West Virginia, in the household of her father.17
     Lloyd moved to Martinsburg by 1922, where he went to work for Interwoven Mills.18 He moved to 108 Pennsylvania Ave., Martinsburg, West Virginia, about 1925, where his future wife was living with her younger sister and her step-grandmother, though it is not clear whether he was boarding with them or living in a different unit of a multi-family building.19 He moved to 350 E. John by 1927.20
     Lloyd appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., West Virginia, in the household of Ruth P. Flora, his future wife, listed as a boarder.21
     Lloyd was not listed in the city directory in the intervening years, but by 1937 he was living at 126 Swartz.22 Lloyd appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., West Virginia, in the household of Ruth, his future wife, listed as a boarder.23
     He was a laborer in 1927, and a clerk in a grocery store in 1930. He was an electrician by 1937, at in a limestone quarry in 1940. That year he reported he had worked 40 hours the last week of March, and had worked 52 weeks the prior year, earning $1,225. He became a stationary engineer about 1951.24,25,23
     Lloyd married Ruth P. Flora, daughter of Edward K. Flora and Mary Arizona Wellen, about 1941.9,10,11
     Lloyd was in the U. S. Navy in World War II, enlisting 12 Sep 1942 and discharged 1 Dec 1944.26
     After their marriage, Lloyd and Ruth continued to live at 201 E. Union Ave., where she have been for many years.27 They moved to 722 Albert about 1951.28
     Lloyd died on 10 May 2001 at age 96.12,13,14 He was buried in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., West Virginia.15
