     Keith Kitzsteiner was born on 4 Jun 1891 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio.7,8,9
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents, Frank Kitzsteiner and Emma C. Gore.5
     He moved to Grand Rapids with his parents before 1910. He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Grand Rapids, Kent Co., Michigan, in the household of his parents.16
     He was a machinist in an automobile factory in 1910.17
     Keith married Ruth Margaret McNeill, daughter of Benjamin Franklin McNeill and Marguerite C. West, on 7 Nov 1913 in Jackson Co., Michigan, with Clarence M Russell, judge of probate, officating.10,11,12
     Keith and Ruth settled in Chicago after their marriage.
     Keith registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jun 1917, while living at 6227 Green St., Chicago, Illinois, reporting he was employed as a switchman for the New York Central, at the Englewood yard, 61st and State streets.3 He was a switchman for a steam railway in 1920.18
     Keith and Ruth appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois, at 162 74 St., enumerated 12 Jan 1920, listed as boarders in the home of George Ellis and his wife Ada.19
     Keith and Ruth moved to Michigan about 1929.20 They appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Lansing, Ingham Co., Michigan, in the household of Benjamin Franklin McNeill and Marguerite C. West, her parents.21
     Keith and Ruth appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Lansing, Ingham Co., Michigan, at 915 W Lapeer St., enumerated 13 Apr 1940, reporting they rented their home, for $30 per month, and that they had lived in the same city in 1935.22
     He was an inspector for the state highway department by 1930. He reported in 1940 he had worked 40 hours the last week of March, and 50 weeks the prior year, earning $1,740.23,24 He registered for the draft for World War II on 27 Apr 1942, while living at 233 N. Logan, Lansing, Michigan, reporting he was employed by the Michigan state highway department, doing road design, in Lansing.25 He retired in 1961 after 23 years with the department.15
     Keith died on 16 Dec 1963 in Lansing, Michigan, at age 72.13,14 He was buried on 18 Dec 1963 in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lansing, Michigan.15
