     Edmund Burke Wood was born on 9 Aug 1890 in London, Ontario, Canada.8,9,10
     He moved to United States with his parents before 1900. He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Butte, Silver Bow Co., Montana, in the household of his parents, Dr. Peter Burke Wood and Bertha May Rymal.4
     He returned to Canada with his parents by 1911. He appeared on the 1911 Federal Census of 364 Symengton, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in the household of his parents.5
     He was a banker in Toronto.15
     Edmund arrived in Detroit, Michigan, on 16 Nov 1911, on the Grand Trunk railroad from Toronto, Canada, where he was then living.16,17
     Edmund registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jun 1917, while living at 240 E 109 St., Chicago, Illinois, reporting he was employed as a clerk by the Pullman Company, in Pullman Illinois. He claimed exemption from draft on the grounds of being physically unfit.2
     Edmund appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois, at 240 108th St., enumerated 23 Jan 1920, in the household of his younger brother Clifford, with their mother.18
     Edmund married Dorothy Meshew McNeill, daughter of Rivers McNeill and Stella Elizabeth Corby, on 21 Apr 1924 in Cook Co., Illinois.3,11,12
     Edmund filed a Declaration of Intention to be naturalized on 27 Oct 1924 in the District Court, Northern District of Illinois, in Chicago, while living at 1374 Greenleaf Ave., Chicago. It appears he never completed the process, as in 1940 he reported he had only filed that declaration.16,19
     Edmund and Dorothy were listed in the 1927 city directory of Evanston, Illinois, with one child, living at 907 Elmwood Ave., apartment B1. He is shown as a vocal teacher.20
     Edmund and Dorothy moved to California by 1928, when they were living at 1290 New York Ave., in Pasadena.21 They appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Pasadena, Los Angeles Co., California, at 1221 Morado Place, enumerated 5 Apr 1930, reporting they rented their home, for $100 per month, and owned a radio. Their son was listed as living with them, as was Louise Menzer, a cook.22
     He was a writer in the movie business in 1930.23
     Edmund and Dorothy apparently returned to Illinois shortly after that, as their next child was born in Chicago in Aug 1930. They appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois, at 1214 Thorndale Ave., enumerated 18 Apr 1940, reporting they rented their home, for $55 per month, and that they had lived in the same city in 1935. Their three children were listed as living with them.24
     He was a salesman, selling wholesale coal in 1940.25
     Edmund died on 15 Jul 1941 in Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois, at age 50.13,14 He was buried on 17 Jul 1941 in Mt. Greenwood Cemetery, Worth Twp., Cook Co., Illinois.13
