She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents.21
Emma married Jacob Glabe, son of Johann Jakob Glebe and Anna Katharina Stein, on 6 Oct 1881 in Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois.5,13,14
Emma and Jacob moved to Farmingdale, Illinois, after their marriage, where their first four children were born.5 They moved their family to Peoria, Illinois, about 1891, where they lived at the corner of West Nebraska Ave. and North Elizabeth until about 1898.22,23 They moved their family to McDougal Ave., near Sterling Ave., about 1899, living there about three years.24
Emma and Jacob appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Peoria Twp., Peoria Co., Illinois, on Mc Dougal St., enumerated 22 Jun 1900. Their children William, Corrine, Edna, Bernice, Myrtle, Ethel and Charles were listed as living with them.25
About 1902 the family moved to 1318 Seventh Ave.26 About 1905 they moved again, this time to 1402 Fourth St.27,28 They appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, at 1402 Fourth St., enumerated 20 Apr 1910. Their children Corrine, Bernice, Myrtle, Ethel, Charles and Robert were listed as living with them.29
Emma and Jacob apparently moved their family to Chicago about 1913, as they are not listed in the Peoria City directory after that time. Chicago directories of the period list only businesses, so they are not listed there.30 Emma and Jacob appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois, at 11045 Esmond St., enumerated 2 Jan 1920. Their children Corrine, Ethel, Charles and Robert were listed as living with them.31
They moved to Gardena, Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in mid-1923.32
Her husband died on 13 Jan 1927 in Gardena, Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois.33,34
Emma appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Groveland Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, at Gardena, enumerated 9 Apr 1930, reporting she owned a home valued at $3,000, and owned a radio. Her daughter Corrine was listed as living with her.35
Emma returned to Peoria shortly after that. She is listed at 533 Indiana Ave. in the 1931 directory, and at 1106 East Republic in 1932, but is not listed after that, suggesting she was living with others.36 She appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, in the household of her daughter Bernice and her husband, John Michael Feulner, at 370 Callender Ave. She reported that she had lived in the same city in 1935.37 She still living there at the time of her death in 1948.6
Emma died on 31 Mar 1948 in 1205 Bigelow St., Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, at age 89, at the home of her daughter Myrtle, where she had apparently been staying for two weeks.15,16,17 She was buried on 3 Apr 1948 in Farmdale Cemetery, Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois.18,19

Research Note, 27 Jun 2001:
There is some confusion in the 1880 Census records for the Goller daughters. Carrie is listed with her husband, but also appears to be the subject of the listing of the oldest daughter at her parents' home. The name on that entry is Amelia Kuecks, which seems to be a combination of her name and Emma's. Also, the age and marital status for that entry seem to have been changed from Emma's to Carrie's information. The occupation shown is domestic service - does that refer to Emma or Carrie? No record for Emma has been found.

In addition, 16 year old "Lizzie" is found listed both in her parents' home and that of her older sister Carrie.38,39
