     Levi Glabe was born on 17 Mar 1856 in Farmdale, Illinois.8,9,10
     He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents, Jacob Glebe and Katherine Stein.17

He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents. The family apparently lived very close to that of his future wife, as they are listed as the second proceeding household.18 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents.6
     Levi married Mary M. Schuck, daughter of John Schuck and Catherine Geltmacher, on 8 Mar 1888 in Tazewell Co., Illinois.11,12,13
     Levi and Mary settled in Farmdale after their marriage, where they lived until 1894 when they moved to Washington, a few miles north.4 They appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, enumerated 2 Jun 1900, reporting that they owned their farm, which was mortgaged. Their children Charles, John, Katherine, Ida and Inez were listed as living with them.3
     Levi and Mary appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, enumerated 28 Apr 1910, reporting that they owned their farm, which was mortgaged. Their children Charles, John, Katherine, Irene, Inez and Esther were listed as living with them.19
     Levi and Mary appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, enumerated 8 Jan 1920, reporting that they owned there home, mortgage free. Their children John, Irene, Inez and Esther were listed as living with them.20
     He was a farmer, like most of the early members of the family.4,21,22,23,24,25
     Levi retired and he and Mary moved into town by 1930.26 They appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois, enumerated 8 Apr 1930, reporting that they owned a home valued at $6,000, and did not own a radio.27
     Levi died on 14 Aug 1930 in Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois, at age 74.14,15,16 He was buried on 16 Aug 1930 in Glendale Cemetery, Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois.7
