     By 1946 she was working for R. G. LeTourneau, manufacturers of heavy construction equipment, in Peoria.15
     Dorothy married Vernon George Attig, son of Ralph L. Attig and Lydia B. Schneider, on 28 Nov 1946.12,13
     Dorothy and Vernon appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois, at 112 Franklin, enumerated 13 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm. Their daughter Doris was listed as living with them.16
