     She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents, Jacob Hess Jr. and Amelia Esser.4 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents.5 She appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents.6
     Estella married Rudolph Walter Oetzel, son of Adam Oetzel and Caroline Glabe, on 16 Feb 1921 in Washington, Illinois.13,14,12
     Estella and Rudolph appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, enumerated 23 Apr 1930, reporting they rented their farm. Their children Harlan and Doris were listed as living with them, His first cousin, Charles Edward Glabe, and his family apparently lived close by, as they are listed as the second following household.17
