     Caroline Glabe was born on 8 Nov 1852 in Farmdale, Illinois.7,8,9
     She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents, Jacob Glebe and Katherine Stein.19

She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents.20
     Caroline married Adam Oetzel, son of George Oetzel and Anna Catharina Berck, on 18 Jan 1877 in Tazewell Co., Illinois.10,11,12
     After their marriage, Caroline and Adam lived at the old Glabe homestead in Farmdale, where all of their children were born.21 They appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Morton Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, enumerated 1 Jun 1880. Their daughter Katie was listed as living with them.22
     Caroline and Adam appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, enumerated 22 Jun 1900, reporting the family owned its farm, mortgage free. Their children Katie, Margaret, Louis, Edward, Nellie, Clara, Rudolph and Viola were listed as living with them.23
     Her husband died on 13 Mar 1903 in Farmdale, Illinois, murdered by his sister's ex-husband, William Minch.24,14,25
     Caroline appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, enumerated 21 Apr 1910, reporting she was renting her farm, which appears to have been operated by her son Edward. Her children Edward, Clara, Rudolph and Viola were listed as living with her. Her daughter Margaret and her husband were apparently living close by, as they are listed next.26
     Caroline appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois, enumerated 19 Jan 1920, reporting she owned her home, mortgage free. Her children Clara and Rudolph were listed as living with her, Her son Edward and his family appear to have been renting a part of her home, or at least living closeby.27
     Caroline died on 24 Mar 1927 in Washington, Tazewell Co., Illinois, at age 74.13,14,15 She was buried on 26 Mar 1927 in Farmdale Cemetery, Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois.16,17,18
